We warmly welcome link exchanges for websites on anything relating to weddings and in any language: we will place your business logo with website URL on our Sponsors page in return for the same on your website.
If your business is unable to reciprocate the link exchange, we ask that you spread the presence of our website through other means such as flyers or word-of-mouth recommendation.
With two wedding ceremonies under our belt, and planning for the third to happen in mid 2008, we realise that each country/culture has different traditions and methods to celebrating the union of two people. Through this website, we hope to experience more wedding ceremonies through sponsorship, and compile our experiences in to a published book.
If you require more information, get in touch with us for a no obligations discussion.

Opting for a simple civil ceremony and reception means that we had to limit the number of attending people to less than 100. That leaves the question of how we can share the joy of our wedding with numerous other people whom I have known from as early as 1994.
The solution was a party on the same night of the wedding, held at Hacienda. Located at Dempsey Road, the new al fresco bar showcases lush manicured gardens and foliage, which suited our theme very well.
Although we have yet to see any pictures of the place or read anything about it, we are sure that Hacienda draws in a discerning crowd who appreciates the little details while they enjoy their house music and quality drinks. After all, this is another creation by Michel Lu, who was also behind the nightclubs Lush and Centro (for those who can remember!).
Michel is a very dynamic individual whom I met during the days when I was a fresh graduate working for an entertainment portal, covering the nightlife beat. When I embarked on another more personal project with some friends, he assisted us whenever we needed a venue for organising parties or wanted to interview certain international or local DJs. He has always been helpful without airs.
This time, Michel has again stepped up and made special arrangements for our friends to celebrate the night with us at Hacienda. There will be special drinks promotions as well as groovy house music spun by one of Singapore’s pioneer DJs, Ramesh.
This invitation for our wedding party is open to everyone who would love to share the special day with us. Just make your way to Hacienda on Dempsey Road on Saturday 24 February from 10pm onwards. Come in and party with us in the Garden of Dreams, which is our theme for the night. So make sure you dress according to the theme; let your imagination run free!
We would like to extend our special thanks again to Michel Lu, as well as my very dear friend Kimitsu for helping with the organisation. The two of you are stars!

We had slightly over two months for having our weding outfits tailor-made.
It would have been easy to approach any tailor and get them to sew something. However, we both wanted a different design for our outfits, not some designs that could be taken off the rack or that were repeated.
With such a tight timeline facing all of us, we had the assistance of Tjok Abi, designer and owner of De Galuh boutique in Denpasar. De Galuh designs are well-known in Indonesia, keeping Pak Abi busy with fashion shows and exhibitions as well as radio talk shows. Pak Abi fuses traditional Balinese style with modern embellishments and materials, such as sequins, lace and update prints.
After speaking to him for 10 minutes, Pak Abi presented us with three sketches for my wedding dress, one of which was exactly how I had imagined it to be. Once that was decided, it was easy to select the groom’s outfit.
The final products are a fun yet elegant combination. We can say more, but you have the pictures that describe more than we could.

In our usual unconventional way, our outdoor pre-wedding photography shoot was confirmed three hours before it happened. We had not planned on the number of photographs required, the poses or the mood of the entire session. Talk about last minute!
Although being a photogenic couple helps, we have to thank the expert lens and eye of Rio Helmi for the fantastic pictures taken at his place, Rumah Rio. Rio has been called “one of Indonesia’s leading and most internationally-recognised photographers”, “one of Asia’s leading photographers” as well as “one of Asia’s most celebrated photographers” by publications.
Yes, Rio is a busy man with engagements worldwide as well as many published photographs in books. Just do a Google or Amazon.com search on his name and it will turn up numerous entries of his work.
Yet despite all the accolades, Rio is a humble, humorous and helpful guy. We think his employee most aptly describes the element that makes photographs taken by Rio unique: “When I look at Rio’s pictures, I can see a soul in them”.
When the photographer is not cracking jokes and taking photographs, he exudes a fatherly figure that commands our respect. We love him, and we are extremely grateful for the time he set aside for our pre-wedding photographs, all at no charge.

Before the shoot, we made a quick stop at Milano Salon in Ubud for hairstyling for both of us and make-up for Patricea. We were impressed with the good results they produced at the speed – 45 minutes flat! – they took to doll both of us up.
Besides hair treatments, Milano salon also provides a full-range of spa treats such as massage, scrubs, waxing, manicure and pedicure. It is located at Jl. Monkey Forest, near Casa Pasta, which is near the football field, and can be contacted at 973488 (pls include country code +62 when calling).
