The rings are only the beginning of the ‘required’ jewellery for a bride – there is also the necklace and earrings set, and maybe even a tiara with veil.
Perhaps I shall do without the latter for the Singaporean wedding ceremony but I do require the necklace and earrings set. Since Felice is our best bet for white gold jewellery, we made a quick stop at the Mal Bali Galeria.
While the range of jewellery at this outlet seemed a little more varied, what made the visit pleasant was the service provided by one personnel whose name tag read ‘Reggie’. Despite our frank admission that we were only browsing for designs, he still continued to patiently serve us and enthusiastically showed different designs to us.
It is his genuine service that will guarantee return customers for the outlet and bring us back there again. If anyone happens to walk into the Mal Bali Galeria outlet of Felice, do not forget to request for the services of Reggie. We promise you will receive genuine service with patience and a smile.

“Have your solemnisation and reception outdoors in a park.” – from a female friend who favours romance in the park.
“Hold it in a restaurant or hotel function room.” – from another female friend who favours sit-down events.
“Let’s just have it at a beach bar.” – my exasparated exclamation when we first started selecting venue options.
Choosing a venue for your wedding is, on its own, not a simple task even when the venue you are thinking of is within your country of residence. Thus, you can imagine our frustration at securing an ideal venue in Singapore when we both reside in Bali.
Not only must the venue be able to sit 100 people, there must also be space for a reception after the wedding and the cost of this affair could not be more than our allocated budget.
After two weeks of assessing options, we decided that simplicity is the keyword. Thus if we could get someone else to handle things, we should.
We finally opted for the wedding planning services of Love That Binds @ ROM. Besides having our solemnisation in a garden setting that is decorated, we were able to have the reception at the Acte D’Amour Restaurant that is within a 10 minute walk from the ROM. Love That Binds also provided the services of an in-house solemnisor, saving us the hassle of searching for one.
We were assisted by Diane, a Senior Matrimonial Service Consultant, who responded to our emails promptly, clearly and cheerfully. Having the help of Diane and Love That Binds has left us with more time to settle other smaller details, which is a great help for couples who have limited time for planning their wedding.

Most couples spend months searching for a pair of wedding bands that ‘belong’. We found ours by almost by chance.
Despite having been at the Kuta Discovery Mall outlet of Felice on two previous occasions in the past month, none of the designs called out to us.
On Sunday December 3 2006, we entered the same outlet again. It was mainly because my mother, who was visiting from Singapore, wanted to see the jewellery selection available in Bali.
As usual, Roberto asked to view the wedding bands. This time, he was presented with a pair of wedding bands that appealed to us both. Both white gold bands have a simple design and the lady’s ring has a 0.023ct diamond. We love simplicity and anything that is not too ostentatious.
Interestingly, the respective ring for him and myself fit our ring finger perfectly. That was the sign that said the rings ‘belong’ to us.
At a later point, one of our Javanese girl friend confirmed that Felice is one of two stores in Bali that offers a good range of designs in quality white gold jewellery at reasonable prices.
Felice also provides complimentary engraving services for their products where possible. This will take an additional week from the date of purchase.
